                                  Biographical Note 

 

Education: She obtained her artistic maturity at the Art School of Florence, a diploma in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna (where she won a prize in the year 1970-71 assigned by Fondazione Zucchelli) , and graduated from DAMS of Bologna, with the thesis:
"The first period of Osvaldo Licini" with prof. Renato Barilli.
Periods: From 1990 to 2003 she lives in Milan, where she participated with great success in international competitions and art exhibitions by collaborating with major galleries in Milan. During the same period she collaborated with the Gallery "La Telaccia" of Turin. In 2004 she moved and worked in Rome, where she exhibited in the Gallery "Il Collezionista" which promoted exhibitions in Berlin, Barcelona, ​​San Remo and Perugia.

Since 2007 she has also exhibited on the occasion of musical events in the Church of Piazza Cavour in Rome. After the period of informal painting under the guidance of Pompilio  Mandelli, the interest of the painter turned to reworking as a development of abstract expressionism. Currently also performs figurative paintings with loads of beautiful urban landscapes cultural references.
The art critic M. Malì wrote that in pictorial journey of C. Negri creative elements are supported by robust technical and stylistic, also the graphic is decided, the matter is dynamic, the effects of light and shadow grafted lives emotions and strengths are consistent progettualistic ideation and expressive power. Actually she lives in Turin.
Subjects: Her subjects are inspired free forms of nature, nature shaped by human intervention, and sometimes human figures and are made of abstract shapes or figurative.
The sculptor R. Pelati Carla Negri wrote, in her  works, she describes her inner emotion through the passage from the vibrant palette to monochrome, bringing to mind the notes of Freud's statements: "We are never the same ... even with the moods of being ... our mind is changing. "
Among the qualified references it must be cited the Press "Nuova Arte" 2003 and the  "Catalogo dell’Arte Moderna" by Giorgio Mondadori Editoriale 2014-2015.
